Gwyrosydd Primary School, Swansea

Gwyrosydd Primary is a large school in Swansea with 450 pupils and a newly established Specialist Teaching Facility for autistic children. They signed up for our School Tree Nursery programme to help support their scheme to develop a forest school area on their grounds.

They received 50 tree saplings from ERS to set up their own School Tree Nursery in January 2015. Teacher Moyra Davies has provided this update on their tree planting day:

“I would like to thank you for accepting Gwyrosydd Primary School for the school tree nursery programme. All year groups have been involved in the planting of the trees and they have learned from the experience. The saplings are now established and are growing well. They were planted in an area in the school grounds so we can eventually increase our Forest School site. We are grateful for the trees and we are fortunate to be part of this programme.”
