Hurst Lodge School, Ascot
Feedback from Principal Vicky Smit, February 2013:
Thank you for sending us our trees. We took our Early years department out to plant the wild cherries in our vegetable plot area. The junior department took the other trees into our woodland and have planted up the other trees in our forest school where we have lost a significant number of trees, due to high winds and decay. The children discussed growing patterns, suitable planting sites and the schools tree sustainability plan. They thoroughly enjoyed the planting exercise , particularly the boys who had been learning how to coppice in their outdoor education lessons, this was a step forward in their learning process.
