With thanks to the Big Lottery Fund and our old supporters from the last few years, we have started our new programme – in earnest – to restore wildflower meadows across the UK. Ms. Ree Buss, our native wildflower specialist, has been busy developing the right flowers and important grasses for the declining butterfly species. We are growing native wildflowers such as; Sorrel, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Scabious, Plantain, Red Campion, Wild Carrot, Wild Parsnip, Wild Fennel, Meadow Sweet, Blue Bell, Valarian, all types of important grasses and much more. Our nursery is being developed (see below) and we aim to have at least 10 wildflower meadows fluttering in Schools. Please get in touch if your School would like to embark on a wildflower habitat for butterflies, we are seeing many Schools expressing interest in this, which is great news.
